Each year, diaTribe hosts the Lightning Talks, a virtual event that brings leading researchers, advocates, and health professionals together to educating people and raise awareness around diabetes stigma.
In 2020, diaTribe was proud to welcome Anthony Anderson, star of the hit ABC sitcom, black-ish, in conversation with David Lee Strasberg of the Lee Strasberg Institute. The pair discussed Anderson’s personal experience with type 2 diabetes and illuminate why it’s important to raise awareness around diabetes to combat stigma.
